About

disney-marathon-250Like many people today I lead a hectic life with work, family, friends and activities competing for my time and energy.  I strive to find the right balance between all the areas of my life and keep everything connected (hence, the name of the blog ”connecting the dots”) and that is what this blog will be about.

About Me

I am the husband to a wonderful wife whom I met at college and the father of two fabulous children who are the sparkle in my eye.  I am a runner who has completed 2 half marathons and 1 full marathon (the picture to the left is from the 2009 Disney Marathon) along with numerous 5k and 5 mile runs. I am also a budding triathlete having finished a sprint triathlon and it remains a life goal of mine to finish an Ironman Triathlon.  In addition I am a youth soccer coach with certifications from the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association.

By day, I am a web professional who has been working in the web space for over ten years. I love educating people about what the web can do for them and their business. I thrive when it comes to explaining the business benefits of the web to non-technical executives. One of the things I love about my work is when executives have that “a-ha” moment and realize the web can be an invaluable business tool and provide competitive advantage.

I came into the web by accident (as do many people I have discovered) while working in state government. I was a Political Science major in college and I am still a political junkie at heart with an eye toward running for office someday. In fact, I subscribe to the ancient Athenian view of public service as a higher calling and believe we all have a role to play in making our society great.

About this Blog

I will write about all the different areas of my life and what interests me. Whether it is politics, the web or staying fit, they will all be talked about here.  Where appropriate I will talk about more than one, i.e. social media and politics (it is fascinating to see what is happening as politicans everywhere hop on the bandwagon).

To sum it up, it is all about connecting the dots.
